Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for Emma E. Walker, age 84, who passed away April 5, 2022, at The Gardens at Foley. The Rev. Thomas Knoblach will officiate and entombment will be at Hilltop Mausoleum in Sauk Rapids. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church.
Emma was born Feb. 17, 1938, in Clear Lake to John and Emma (Dropps) Prom. She married Harvey Walker April 20, 1968 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Cloud and the couple lived in Sauk Rapids since their marriage. Emma was a homemaker and also was a library aid with the St. Cloud Regional Public Library. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a member of St. Monica’s Society and St. Catherine’s Mission Group. Emma enjoyed writing poetry, crocheting, bingo, game shows, old time music, boat rides and spending time at the cabin. She was friendly, generous, simple, enjoyed life, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Emma is survived by her husband, Harvey of Sauk Rapids; sons and daughters, David of Sauk Rapids, Marina (Kenneth) Doubek of Albany, Gregory (Jennifer) of St. Joseph, and Gail (Dave) Nett of Sartell; grandchildren, Amanda, James, Ashley, Brooke, Marcus, Lexi and Hailey; and three great-grandchildren. Emma was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Louise Dahlquist, Alice Loesch, and Leona May.
The family would like to thank The Gardens at Foley for all the wonderful care given to Emma.
