Helen A. Monnier, age 90,of Royalton, passed away Dec. 15, 2021, at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls. A funeral service was 11 a.m. Dec. 22, at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls with David Sperstad officiating. A visitation was 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. Caring for Helen and her family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Little Falls.

Helen Alice Winter was born Nov. 2, 1931 in Foley to the late Michael and Matilda (Masog) Winter. She grew up in Foley and graduated from Tech High School. Helen was united in marriage to Harry Monnier March 14, 1949 in St. Cloud. She was a nurse’s aide at St. Cloud and St. Gabriel’s Hospitals, where she retired after 25 plus years. In her spare time, Helen loved collecting antiques and going to flea markets. She was a member of the Sauk Rapids VFW and the Royalton American Legion Auxiliary. A special thank you to River Assisted Living and St. Otto’s Care Center for the loving care given to Helen.

Helen is survived by sons, John (Diane) Monnier of Breezy Point, Michael (Ronda) Monnier of Royalton, and Patrick (Connie) Monnier of East Bethel; daughters, Julie Goebel of Rice, and Suzanne (Gordon) Noggle of Rice; daughter-in-law, Sue Monnier of Rice; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Matilda Winter; husband, Harry; daughter, Louise Monnier; son, Harry “Butch” Monnier; son-in-law, Jerry Goebel; brothers, Ambrose, Francis, Harold; sisters, Connie, Marie, Marjorie, Elsie, Rita and Regina.
