Jerome “Fish” Schwalboski passed away peacefully Dec. 11, 2021, at Country Manor in Sartell. He was the first-born child of John and Eleanor (Studanski) Schwalboski Feb. 7, 1940, in Sauk Rapids.  He attended Trinity Lutheran grade school and graduated from Sauk Rapids High School in 1958. As a long time employee of Nash Finch he earned many merit awards for his excellence in maintaining the produce shipping department.  Predeceased in death are wife, Diane (Stillman) Schwalboski, mother and father. Survivors include brothers Robert, Ralph, Ronald and nieces Ronalle Jeseritz and Ann Schwalboski.

Jerome was an avid fisherman and loved catching crappie. Living in Missouri, he spent many days fishing the banks and docks of Truman Lake.  He was also known for his passion of “driving” the corp grounds around the lake and being one of the best jig fishermen in Clinton, Missouri.

The family plans a get together, celebrating Jerry’s life this spring at Sauk Rapids Municipal Park. Notices will be posted in the Sauk Rapids Herald, announcing the date and time.
