Mark J. Opatz, age 68, passed away July 19, 2024, at his residence. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.
Mark was born Nov. 11, 1955, in St. Cloud to James and Mary Lou (Farnam) Opatz. He lived in the Sartell and Sauk Rapids area most of his life and worked endless hours doing road construction for Bauerly Brothers Knife River. Mark enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, golfing and the Minnesota Vikings. He was loved by so many, especially his seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Stacy (Mike) Ensweiler of The Colony, Texas; grandchildren, Brody, Brett, Arielle, Bella, Lukaine, Niyah, and Embriyah; brothers and sisters, Bill Opatz of Sauk Rapids, Carrie Larson of Watkins, Greg (Kathy) Opatz of Sartell, Lisa Frank (Leo Supan) of Sartell, and Laura (Brent) Elliott of Sauk Rapids; sister-in-law, Becky Opatz of St. Stephen. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Angela Opatz; sister, Cathy Burgmeier; and brothers, Michael and Bob Opatz.
